Kennesaw State University recently welcomed its newest class of graduates. Over 3,000 students earned bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees during the Spring 2019 commencement ceremonies in May.

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,000 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2019 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

The following students earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Spring 2019 at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its spring 2019 Dean's List for full-time and part-time students.

The University of Alabama awarded some 5,716 degrees during its spring commencement May 3-5. The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 3,800 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute's 257th Commencement exercises on May 3-4, 2019, at the McCamish Pavilion.

More than 200 Eastern Connecticut State University students of African, Latino, Asian and Native American (ALANA) descent were honored on May 9 at the 2019 Inclusive Excellence Awards. All students who were honored achieved an overall GPA of at least 3.5. An additional 11 students were recognized for demonstrating exemplary co-curricular engagement at Eastern.

The spring 2019 graduating class in the Athletic Training Program at Georgia Southern University has earned a 100% pass rate on the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. The comprehensive test covers a student's entire education and clinical experience and must be passed in order to become a certified athletic trainer.

More than 2,000 students earned bachelor's degrees from Georgia State University during the Spring 2019 semester.

More than 800 students earned associate's degrees from Georgia State University's Perimeter College during the Spring 2019 semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University's Communication Department hosted its annual honor society induction and award ceremony on April 25. At the event 34 new members were inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta National Communications Honor Society and awarded for their outstanding accomplishments in the communication major. Upwards of 200 faculty, family, friends and honorees attended the ceremony.

Georgia State University conferred master's degrees to graduate students across disciplines during the Spring 2019 semester.

The University of North Georgia (UNG) had a record 65 current and former students attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) from April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University. UNG sent 77 people to NCUR, which ranked UNG as the No. 7 school for participants at the conference. Participants included students and faculty in anthropology and archaeology, biology, chemistry, computer science, education, history, music, physics, and psychology.

The University of North Georgia announces associate degrees awarded to dual-enrolled students in the 2018-2019 school year, including more than a dozen presented at commencement exercises held May 3 and 4 in Dahlonega.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2019 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2019. Dean's List recognition is achieved by having at least a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

The University of North Georgia's (UNG) poultry judging team took fourth place in production hens at the 72nd annual National Collegiate Poultry judging competition at Louisiana State University in early April.

Berry College recently welcomed its newest class of graduates.

Seven members of the Georgia State University Mock Trial Team were invited to compete at the Yale Mock Trial Invitational during December 2018.

Nearly 130 University of North Georgia (UNG) students performed research-based projects and presented their results during the poster sessions March 22 at the 24th Annual Research Conference (ARC) in the Convocation Center on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. Other students participated in panel discussions on topics such as educational experiences and musical research.

Two UNG students were off and running with their pitch of the Opus Affinity app at the innovateUNG Pitch Challenge on Feb. 20 in the Dining Hall Banquet Room on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. More than two hours later, Hearn and Herrera were declared winners of the inaugural event, securing a $2,000 prize and a trip to the Georgia InVenture Prize competition, which is sponsored by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the University System of Georgia for top college teams from across the state and will award a $25,000 first prize.
