Georgia Southern University recently held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. University President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., conferred more than 3,300 graduate and undergraduate degrees during two separate ceremonies to accommodate the graduating classes.

Nearly 70 students made the summer 2015 Dean's Lists at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B.

More than 1,700 students made the spring 2015 Deans' Lists at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving a 3.5 grade point average, carrying 12 or more credit hours in one semester and having no grade lower than B. The deans of UNG's five colleges — The College of Arts & Letters, The College of Education, The College of Health Sciences & Professions, The Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics — announced the names of students who made their respective lists.

The university's spring commencement ceremonies were held May 1-3 on UNG's Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. This spring semester, UNG conferred some 1,300 degrees. Additionally, 36 graduating members of the Corps of Cadets took oaths as second lieutenants in the National Guard or U.S. Army.

The top male and female volunteers through The GIVE Center were honored with Bobcat Awards. The students received the award for completing the most volunteers hours for the 2014-2015 academic year.

The GIVE Center announced the recipients of the Gold Level Presidential Service Award. This list is comprised of students who completed more than 250 service hours during 2014.

The GIVE Center released its list of Georgia College's top 30 volunteers for the 2014-2015 school year. The list is comprised of the 30 students with the most registered service hours for this academic year.
